In short
I grew up near Grenoble, France. After a science baccalaureate, I studied English and German at Stendhal University (Grenoble, France) and decided to move to Berlin, Germany, where I originally planned to stay 6 months but ended up staying 9 years. There, I studied Political Sciences
at the Free University (Otto-Suhr-Institut) and worked for several scientific organisations (WZB, SWP, NESA).
In 2007, I went to Niger, Africa, to work as a communication advisor for a German rural development programme (LUCOP). I returned to France in 2010 and settled in a small village near Montpellier. I have been working as a freelance translator since 1999 (full time since 2009).
My private life involves a great deal of travel, of "non-authoritarian militantism" in favour a multiculturalism (for example in initiating the German website "Muslim Voices") and since 2009, I am teaching myself documentary film making.
